Where Rama spent his exile period. The Kamadgiri hill is circumambulated by pilgrims (5 km parikrama). Multiple sacred sites from the Ramayana are located here.

History

Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana spent 11 of their 14 exile years here. Bharata came here to beg Rama to return. The Bharat Milap (meeting of brothers) took place here. Tulsidas composed parts of the Ramcharitmanas here.

🏛️ Architecture

Multiple temples and sacred sites spread across the area. Kamadgiri (wish-fulfilling hill) is the main pilgrimage focus. Ram Ghat on the Mandakini river is the main bathing site.
