“Vasudevasutam Devam Kamsa Chanura Mardanam, Devaki Paramanandam Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum”
Krishna is the eighth avatar of Vishnu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead in Vaishnavism. He is the divine child, the prankster, the lover, the philosopher-king, and the speaker of the Bhagavad Gita — the most celebrated spiritual text in Hindu philosophy.
The eighth avatar of Vishnu, or Svayam Bhagavan (the Supreme Being himself) in Gaudiya Vaishnavism. His name means "The All-Attractive" or "The Dark One" — his complexion described as deep blue-black like a rain cloud.
