Vishnu

Narayana Ā· Hari Ā· The Preserver

ā€œShantākāram Bhujagashayanam Padmanābham Suresham, Vishvādhāram Gaganasadrisham Meghavarnam Shubhāngamā€ā€” Vishnu Dhyana Shloka

Vishnu is the Preserver in the TrimÅ«rti. In Vaishnavite traditions, He is the Supreme Being — Narayana — who lies on the cosmic serpent Ananta Shesha floating on the Ocean of Milk, and who incarnates as the Dashavatara whenever dharma declines.

Cosmic Identity

The All-Pervading One, Preserver of cosmic order. From his navel springs Brahma on a lotus. He reclines on Ananta Shesha on the Kshira Sagara (Ocean of Milk) and incarnates through the Dashavatara whenever dharma declines.
