History

One of the 7 sacred sites established by Parashurama. Vasuki and the serpents came here after Garuda's persecution. Madhvacharya visited and established worship traditions here.

Kerala-style temple with tiled roofs, set in the lush Western Ghats. The temple is in a valley surrounded by hills. Two rivers (Kumaradhara and Payaswini) meet here.
